Hey Everyone!

So recently Make Up For Ever re-formulated and re-launched their eyeshadows! There are over 200 colours to choose from. And there are eyeshadows and blushes as well!

They are described as a “highly-blendable, gel-powder eye shadow and powder blush with vivid colour payoff.” They are highly pigmented, smooth and very blendable!

For a full in depth review check out this video here!

What I love about them is (if you have the time) you can go to Sephora and swatch all of them and create your own perfect palette! However I would be prepared to spend at least an hour there! ha. They come in trios, duos and singles. I chose the trios because I couldn’t get enough! These are definitely up there as my favourite eyeshadow formulations!

You can also put the shadows in an empty Z-Palette as they are magnetized. Which is great for travel! Of course I chose all warm neutrals as I figured that is what I would get most use out of!

Colours from left to right:

D-320 Golden Khaki, ME-728 Copper Red, I-606 Pinky Earth, M-600 Pink Brown, ME-512 Golden Beige, M-608 Red Brown, M-664 Fawn, S-602 Cinnamon, ME-614 Graphite Brown

Hello Everyone!

Happy Summer!

So I’ve recently cut my hair short and that means re-learning everything I thought I knew about hair. It’s a whole different ball game with short hair. I love how it looks but I will admit it is a lot more high maintenance. Maybe because its that in-between length but I find myself not waking up with good hair! Thats ok! I have the solution! Just load my hair up with more products!

For a tutorial on how I style my short hair watch this video!!

Products Mentioned:

Arbonne FC5 Nourishing daily shampoo and conditioner– This stuff is so great! It smells very fresh and spa like. It’s made with all natural botanical products. It’s also vegan! It rinses out completely which is sometimes hard with conditioners. It leaves my hair clean, shiny, and soft. What more could you ask for?! Oh there is a hair mask too! If you need extra repair on dry damaged hair then use the Arbonne Seasourse Detox Spa fortifying hair mask. Used a few times a week this will completely rescue your hair! Its a must for me!

Next is the Its a 10 Miracle leave in conditioner this stuff really makes a difference. It makes my hair super easy to brush when it’s wet, and just makes everything feel silky and smooth. I then run the Loreal Boost It  Volume Inject Mousse through my damp hair from root to tip. I’m not fully convinced this does anything but I just like having mousse in my hair to add a layer between the strand and heat. I also love the smell of this product. So if you are looking for a mousse this one will do the trick! And affordable too!

The key to amazing hair is dry shampoo! I can’t emphasize this enough! Why spend an hour blow drying and straightening or curling when you can just use dry shampoo and be on your way! Just lift up sections of your hair and spray the Batiste Dry Shampoo onto the roots. Let it sit for about 10 minutes. Your hair will look like Cruella DeVille (white streaks) but thats all part of it! Rub it into your roots with your fingers and you will have more body and clean hair!

Once I am ready to do my hair I start with the KMS Free Shape hot flex spray which is a great heat protectant spray that also acts as a light hair spray. I spray each strand before I curl! And it makes my hair last a long time without drying it out. To finish off the curls I use the Loreal Elnett Hairspray and while it is not my favourite it is good for the price and is still brush-able which is what I look for in a hair spray.

To give my hair extra oomph I start with the Living Proof Amp instant texture volumizer and just rub it into the roots and wherever I want added volume. This really makes a difference and even throughout the day if you just use your fingers to tousle your roots the product re-activates itself which is great! To create more texturized volume I use the BB Thickening Dryspun Finish right at the roots. This makes things look lifted and effortless. I love it! Then finally the BB Cityswept Finish to make things look “lived in” and like I just “woke up like this!”

I hope you like it! I know this is a lot of products but we already knew I am a product junkie!

Until next time!
